About
The artist studied art and archaeology at Hobart William Smith Colleges, Art Education at Syracuse University, Web Design and Graphic Design at Sessions Online School, and has completed continuing education in Painting, CAD, and Arts Administration at SUNY Oswego, LeMoyne College and RISD online. Meg is also an herbalist and haphazard gardener. A life long fiber artist, Meg learned to embroider, sew and knit by the wood stove in Upstate NY, she spent summers playing in the streams, lakes, meadows and woods in Columbia County, the Tug Hill Plateau and Central New York, and her youth hiking many peaks in the Adirondacks. Meg has been a pirate, plays three instruments poorly, and is a grandmother of two.
Meg was an arts educator in Syracuse for 27 years, a job perfectly suited for an artist who was also a single parent. Now retired from education, Meg is working in on Vinalhaven ME as an artist, a remote marketing researcher and other short term or temporary jobs. Meg is an outspoken feminist, animal rights and environmental advocate.
